1. To run rules checking, from the main pull down menu select:
   
   setup>system mode>atpg
   
   
   
   

1. To create an internal fault list, click on the palette icon ADD FAULTS. Select All and the stuck at value both. Click on OK.
   
   
   
   

1. To run ATPG click on the RUN item from the palette icon. The results are shown below:

Figure 11 shows the messages that RUN should display when done. In this case 4 memory elements (i.e. flip flops) were identified and two have been used in the scan chain. The two memory elements that are not put into the scan chain do not hold their state during the scanning process since they were not converted to their scannable equivalents. This will lower your fault coverage.
