4.2 Move/Copy components

  1. Change the library window to schematic palette by selecting from the menu bar:
  2. Libraries -> Display Schematic Palette

  3. Click on the component you want to be moved or copied. The selected component will be outlined by a  dashed line as shown below.
  4. Fig 2-1. Selected component will become dash line.

  5. Click on 'MOVE' or 'COPY' in the schematic palette. The selected components will move with your cursor. Place them by clicking the left mouse button.
  6. Use 'MOVE' and 'COPY' to place and arrange all the gates in your design. The results are shown below.

4.4 Wiring and Buses

  • For wire connecting:
    1. From the schematic palette select 'ADD WIRE'.
    2. Connect the ports by clicking the LMB once at the initial port and double click at the end port.
    3. Clicking on 'Cancel' in the 'ADD WI' display at the bottom of the schematic window cancels the 'Add Wire' command.

    5. From the schematic palette select 'ROUTE SELECTED'. The selected wires will re-route automatically as shown below.

    7. You may also want to complete the wire routing manually. For adding a wire between two points click once at the starting point and at all intermediate points to define the net route and double click at the end point to complete the routing.
    8. Fig 4-3. Click at the corner to route manually.

    9. Repeat the procedure to connect all the ports that need to be connected. The resultant schematic might look like the one below:
