Mesh Element Properties


Grouping Elements By Element Properties

An element should be one of two basic element types: one-dimensional or triangular. Each element can represent different parts of the geometry carrying the associated element properties. The element properties of each kind of element for analysis of injection molding and its derivatives (gas-assisted molding, reactive molding) are listed in Tables G-1 and G-2. Because of their special requirements, the element properties of relevant element types for blow molding and thermoforming analyses are listed in Tables G-3 and G-4.
